I'm feeling a little unloved at the moment.
Apple Computers are now Apple Inc.??
Phones? TV?
Where is the core support for the loyal computer spuds.
I know Leopard is on its way, but the keynote sounded a bit like Jobs has got himself some new Phoney and TVey friends now and doesn't really think we need some nice shiny new trinkets.
Totally understand the iPhone impact and the fact that its a new benchmark, but I really hope they don't lose sight of the core business, ie ME and and my 'puter

No. You should upgrade to 10.5 anyway since you use it as a file server and 10.5 has much better local networking capability and a built in VNC client to remotely control it from your other Macs.
For your needs 10.5 makes a lot of sense.

Hi ,I'm Wulfii and I am new here and I hope you guys can help me with my problem I ended up here whilst trawling for a solution to my problem.
I cannot shuffle tunes in a playlist I have tried and tried , I have created playlists but the same song keeps playing, I know it works because it did -Once-and I can't seem to get it to work I await a solution please .

That doesn't make it acceptable to torture him (or anyone else) - you can't win a war against terrorists by becoming a terrorist. Where would you draw the line and how do you determine that the line is in the "correct" place?
If you say it's OK to torture someone who knows a lot but won't tell you what he knows, how do you determine he's not telling you everything and therefore sanction torture? Before you know it, you are sanctioning torture against everyone "just in case" and it then becomes a routine part of any interrogation against anyone you capture.
I know there are no easy answers to this, and I don't know how I would react if my daughter's life was at risk and could be saved by torturing someone, but I do know that torture is wrong in and of itself and cannot be justified from a moral perspective
One thing I have not made clear, is that I agree that it is wrong, and immoral, but at the same time I think there are some cases where it is called for.
I do not advocate its use for ordinary soldiers or officers captured in a "real" war, but to be perfectly honest, I have zero compassion for the likes of KSM and people like him, to me this guy does not even deserve to be called a human being. Except iOS is not a exclusively a smartphone OS. Again, if you are a developer, the metric that matters is how many devices are using the particular platform.

I got a chance to shoot a BMW Z4. I'm having a hard time editing the photos as the black just looks "crushed"? I'm not sure how to explain what I'm trying to say but I critique my photos a lot so basically I think this photo sucks but the owner thinks its good.

I get what you're saying. Deep, dark black, with no metallic flake in it is probably very hard to photograph well. It masks a lot of the subtle lines of the car (which a Z4 has a lot of) that would normally show with lighter, more reflective colors. I like the shot, but I do see what you are bugged with.

I am thinking of pulling the trigger with some new hardware. As a student, I know a route I can take is the student Apple Developer program. After searching for the ADC store to use the discount I notice its gone! Does anyone know if this program still exists?

On that subject, w ww.madbids.com can't show their TV adverts in the UK anymore, as they are misleading their customers.
Another point... I expect that TJ MAXX just bought up a bunch of the Refurbished iPads and is taking a $50 loss on each to get people in the stores.
Selling refurbished iPads as new _would_ be illegal. And I'd be curious where they would have found refurbished iPads.
Is this specific to iPad and iPod? The standard warranty most certainly transfers, since I have bought a Powerbook long ago on CraigsList and used the warranty to get repairs.
You'd have to check what warranty Apple gives voluntarily, and what warranty they are required to give by law. Whatever they give you voluntarily, they can set the rules. They are probably fine with people buying Macs and selling them a year later used (that's actually good for Apple because those people then have cash to buy a new Mac), but don't like unauthorised resellers (because they make Apple's authorised resellers unhappy).

That's a great idea! I'd love to see that for when I'm traveling and don't want to turn on international data roaming for the internet, but can still use cell towers for triangulation of my position.

Agreed. This doesn't sound correct. I have a corporate discount and added the feature. I still have the discount.
When this initially was announced and after holding for a long time while the rep checked, ATT told me verbally that the dicounted $29.95/450 min plan would go to regular $39.95 regular price if I wanted the unlimited mobile to mobile with unlimited texting but it in fact wasn't the case. I was able to do it online. The first day or so of the promotion the site was giving me an error whenI tried to make the change but I was able to do it on day 2 or 3. I verified earlier today that my discount rate was still in tact and I had the unLim Mob to Mob.

I love my 2003 Passat, which is still going strong (though it was not without its problems). Its size is also perfect for me. I really didn't like the styling of its successor, which just looked too bloated, and the thought of an even larger one just makes me cringe. The new one looks pretty boring and generic, IMO. Guess I'll stick it out with my 2003 a little longer....

So what do you have against teachers making more? If teachers made more competitive salaries, there would be more competition for teaching jobs, thus leading to better quality teachers, ultimately resulting in better education.
I'd rather spend an extra $100/yr for better teachers rather than helping to pay for Tom Cruise's 39 estates.

My personal experience has not been bad with 4.3.1. I really wanted the upgrade for the home sharing feature, especially for my iPad. Battery life hasn't been any different in my experience, but I can't discount the others that think that they have. Does anybody have one of those fancy apps (jailbroken or not) that actually analyzes your battery with data from before and after? It would be interesting to see.
